Introduction
A lot of routine observations of climate values such as rainfall have been carried out by some organizations in Thailand. A observation map, which shows the distribution of such stations, is available (See below).
Data Contents (Classified by Organizations)
-
TMD Weather Observation
-
TMD(Thailand Meteorological Department) observation data. Daily (mainly with 3-hourly) rainfall, monthly average climate value(1961-80) and AGROMET obseration (daily more precise climate values). Currently 1998-2000 daily and 3-hourly rainfall data are available.
(datasets are password-protected. Please consult the DB manager for use).

-
TMD Radar Observation
-
TMD(Thailand Meteorological Department) observation datasets of radar rainfall measurement. The raw data file is too big to publish via WWW, but some quicklook are ready to use.
---
-
RID Weather Observation
-
RID(Royal Irrigation Department) also has been making many observation about rainfall and river discharge. This dataset includes daily rainfall, daily river discharge, river water level, some climatic data(pan evap. etc.) and reservoir data. Weather Stations List is available.
2004.11.11 New : Daily Rainfall : 1980-2000 completed.
---
-
RID River Observation
-
RID(Royal Irrigation Department) has been observing water level for more than 1,000 sites and discharge at more than 800 stations in Thailand.
---
-
RFD Observation
-
RFD(Royal Forest Department) also has been making climate observation. This dataset includes daily maximum/minimum temperature, daily rainfall, evaporation and wind direction/velocity.
